Welcome to The Crime Notebook
Where the Record Meets the Story
I’m a writer, producer, and journalist fascinated by true crime. Here I’ll not only explore both new and old cases, but also offer my opinion, analysis, and theories on the most compelling aspects of each case. After years of working in newsrooms and writers rooms, I wanted a space where I could explore true crime stories in a way that isn’t constrained by deadlines or airtime.
What captivates me most about true crime is the question of nature versus nurture. What are the forces that compel some people to commit violent crimes? When do those forces take hold? And why? My hope is that The Crime Notebook becomes a space for like-minded enthusiasts, readers who are intrigued by these same questions.
The Crime Notebook will also be a place to discuss and review the latest true crime series, both documentary and scripted as well as a place to examine the facts of a true crime story and how those facts are portrayed through media. Finally, The Crime Notebook will also be a place where I share my own work in the true crime space.
If you are drawn to crimes that vibrate with the mysteries of the human condition, I invite you to subscribe.
